Welcome to P.W. Moore Elementary School — Home of the Lions!
At P.W. Moore, we believe that education is the key to unlocking a bright and meaningful future. Our passionate team of educators is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive, engaging academic experience that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
This year, we're proud to expand our impact as a community school, deepening our support for students and families through local partnerships — including our ongoing collaboration with East Carolina University (ECU). These connections strengthen both academic and social-emotional growth, enriching the learning journey for every child.
We’re also excited to launch our Dual Language Immersion (DLI) cohort in kindergarten, offering students the gift of bilingualism and setting the foundation for cultural understanding and global readiness. With this step, P.W. Moore is proud to be recognized as a Global Campus, reflecting our commitment to preparing students for a connected and diverse world.
At the heart of everything we do is community. We believe in open, honest communication and active collaboration between students, families, staff, and community partners. Your involvement is valued and vital. Together, we can create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Welcome to our school family. We’re glad you’re here!
